Sequel Production Confirmed!
After the pulse-popping season finale of Kaiju No. 8 on Saturday, fans have a giant-sized reason to celebrate. The sequel production for the hit manga & anime series has been officially confirmed. Crunchyroll will stream the return of Kaiju No. 8 in over 200 countries and territories worldwide, ensuring that fans across the globe can continue to enjoy the fight against the monsters inside and outside. In the meantime, the entire season one of Kaiju No. 8 are available to stream right now exclusively on Crunchyroll.
Dub Release Date: The dub for the Kaiju No. 8 season finale will be available on Saturday, July 13, only on Crunchyroll.
Teaser Video and More
In celebration of the sequel announcement, a short teaser video has been revealed. The teaser also introduces Koki Uchiyama as a new voice cast member, portraying Gen Narumi, the captain of the First Division Defense Force, in the upcoming season.
What’s It All About?
In a world plagued by creatures known as Kaiju, Kafka Hibino aspired to enlist in The Defense Force. He makes a promise to enlist with his childhood friend, Mina Ashiro. Soon, life takes them in separate ways. While employed cleaning up after Kaiju battles, Kafka meets Reno Ichikawa. Reno’s determination to join The Defense Force reawakens Kafka’s promise to join Mina and protect humanity.
About Kaiju No. 8: The anime is adapted from the original manga created by Naoya Matsumoto and is animated by Production I.G, known for their work on PSYCHO-PASS and GHOST IN THE SHELL. The kaiju artwork and design are supervised by Studio Khara, famous for Evangelion: New Theatrical Edition and Shin Godzilla.
The opening song “Abyss” is performed by YUNGBLUD, and the ending song “Nobody” is performed by OneRepublic.
