K-Drama Demon Lover Boys: More Romances to Watch After KPop Demon Hunters

So you’ve watched KPop Demon Hunters, AND you devoured every K-Pop-Drama on our other list, AND you’re still craving more supernatural swoon, magical mayhem, and otherworldly lover boys and girls? We get it. The spiral is real. That’s why we cooked up a second helping of K-drama recommendations for all your demon lovers—packed with romance, and guaranteed to keep your heart pounding (and your popcorn eyes full)

Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God)

Our ***Top Pick***
If you somehow haven’t watched Goblin yet, what are you even doing? This is the K-drama that launched a thousand memes, broke a million hearts, and nearly ruined us for all other supernatural romance. Gong Yoo is the immortal goblin cursed to wander the earth until he finds his bride, and Kim Go-eun is the quirky, ghost-seeing high schooler who just might be his ticket to freedom (and happiness, and a lot of tears). There’s a bromance for the ages between the Goblin and his Reaper roommate (Lee Dong-wook), a couple of love stories that span centuries, and enough iconic scenes to last you a lifetime. When you see Goblin and Reaper walk in a cloud of aura, it will rewire you, and the OST will haunt you too. If you loved the mix of fate, fantasy, and feels in KPop Demon Hunters, you need Goblin in your life.

starring Gong Yoo, Kim Go-eun, Lee Dong-wook, Yoo In-na, and Yook Sung-jae

My Demon

What happens when a cold, centuries-old demon loses his powers and has to team up with a chaebol heiress in a contract marriage? Sparks, snark, and a whole lot of supernatural shenanigans. My Demon is the buzziest entry in the demon rom-com canon because it’s also on Netflix, and if there was ever a Jinu double who isn’t Cha Eun-woo, it’s Song Kang. The chemistry is sparkly, the banter is sharp, and the plot is a wild ride. If you want a drama that’s as stylish as it is swoony, with a side of magical mayhem, this one’s for you.

starring Song Kang and Kim Yoo-jung

Hotel Del Luna

Like Huntr/x, the Hong Sisters don’t miss (except for Big…). Our beloved IU as the centuries-old, couture-loving hotelier of a ghostly hotel? Yes, please. Hotel Del Luna is a visual feast, with a story that’s equal parts hilarious, heartbreaking, and haunting. Yeo Jin-goo plays the straight-laced manager who gets roped into running the hotel for restless spirits, and their slow-burn romance is pure magic. The show is packed with supernatural lore, jaw-dropping fashion, and a parade of memorable ghosts. If you loved the chosen family vibes and supernatural world-building of KPop Demon Hunters, check into Hotel Del Luna and grab the nearest box of tissues.

starring IU and Yeo Jin-goo

Alchemy of Souls

What? Oh yes, it’s the Hong Sisters again. Step into a fantasy world where soul-swapping magic, forbidden love, and epic mage battles are just another day in the country of Daeho. Alchemy of Souls is a genre-bending ride that blends romance, action, and a dash of comedy. The story follows young mages whose destinies are tangled by a powerful spell that lets souls jump bodies. There’s a star-crossed romance at its core, plenty of magical training montages, and enough plot twists to keep you spinning. Plus, you get two seasons of this epic love story. If you want your demon rom-coms with a side of high fantasy and intricate world-building, you’ll be thanking us for this one.

starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, and Go Youn-jung

Doom at Your Service

What if the literal personification of doom showed up at your door—and he was brooding, beautiful, and maybe your soulmate? Doom at Your Service takes the “supernatural boyfriend” trope to existential new heights. Park Bo-young is a web novelist with a terminal diagnosis who accidentally summons Doom (Seo In-guk)—we love them both so much—and together they strike a contract that could end the world… or save it. Expect witty banter, emotional gut-punches, and a romance that’s as swoony as it is bittersweet. This is a love story with a side of cosmic stakes.

starring Park Bo-young and Seo In-guk

A Korean Odyssey (Hwayugi)

It’s not peak, but there’s something about this modern, irreverent spin on the classic Journey to the West, A Korean Odyssey is a wild ride through a world of demons, gods, and ghosts—all with a healthy dose of rom-com chaos. Lee Seung-gi is the arrogant Monkey King, and he’s irresistible. Oh Yeon-seo is the human woman who can see spirits, and their fate is sealed by a magical contract (and a lot of bickering). The show is packed with genre-bending twists, hilarious side characters, and a romance that’s as complicated as it is compelling. If you loved the supernatural subculture in KPop Demon Hunters, add this to your queue.

starring Lee Seung-gi, Cha Seung-won, Oh Yeon-seo, Lee Hong-gi, and Jang Gwang

My Girlfriend is a Gumiho

Before there was My Demon or Goblin, there was the OG supernatural rom-com: My Girlfriend is a Gumiho. Lee Seung-gi (yes, again!) is the hapless hero who accidentally releases a nine-tailed fox spirit (Shin Min-a)—our girl!—from a painting, and their odd-couple romance is pure K-drama gold. There’s slapstick comedy, adorable misunderstandings, and a surprisingly heartfelt exploration of what it means to be human (or not). If you want a classic with all the folklore, fluff, and feels, this is your must-watch. And yes, it’s the Hong Sister again (you already knew).

starring Lee Seung-gi and Shin Min-a

The Master’s Sun

***One of the Greatest of All Time***
If it wasn’t for Goblin, Master’s Sun would rule them all. If you like your rom-coms with ghosts, tsundere billionaires, and he falls first, The Master’s Sun is the perfect blend of spooky and sweet. Gong Hyo-jin is a woman who sees spirits everywhere—until she meets So Ji-sub’s cold-hearted CEO, whose touch makes the ghosts disappear. Cue a partnership that’s both hilarious and heartwarming, as they solve supernatural mysteries and slowly fall for each other. The “touch to banish” dynamic is iconic, and the ghostly hijinks are endlessly entertaining.

starring So Ji-sub and Gong Hyo-jin, our loves

Oh My Ghost

This almost didn’t make the list because, just like Mr. Queen—another one of our most loved K-dramas of all time—the ending is a big ole disappointing cop-out. Still, possession has never been this cute. Oh My Ghost follows a timid chef (Park Bo-young) who gets possessed by a lustful virgin ghost (Kim Seul-gi, our beloved) who’s determined to resolve her “unfinished business.” The result? Awkward crushes, kitchen chaos, and a romance with chef Jo Jung-suk that’s as funny as it is touching. If you love paranormal romance, you’ll eat this one up.

starring Park Bo-young, Jo Jung-suk, and Kim Seul-gi

That’s it. That’s our Demon Lovers list. Queue them up, stock up on snacks (and tissues—you’ll need both), recruit the group chat for a group watch, and prepare for a supernaturally swoony marathon. Happy spiraling!
