The Merc and the Mutant Make Marvel History: Deadpool & Wolverine Trailer Shreds The Record By Refusing to Play the Same Ole Song!

365 Million Views in Just 24 Hours

Everyone deserves a happy ending, and Marvel fans worldwide witnessed a monumental one as the first trailer for Marvel Studios’ eagerly awaited Deadpool & Wolverine smashed global records with 365 million views within 24 hours, making it the most-viewed movie trailer in history.

Helmed by Shawn Levy, the director/producer who also said yes to Arrival and Stranger Things, Deadpool & Wolverine boasts a star-studded lineup that includes Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Karan Soni, and Matthew Macfadyen. This sqaud is ready to bring to life one of the most anticipated Marvel team-ups on film. And the script is penned by Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, Zeb Wells, and Shawn Levy, promising a magnificently mangled mash-up of Deadpool’s signature snark and Wolverine’s rugged intensity.

Fun fact: They had to pause filming during the strikes because Ryan Reynolds does so many ad libs they need their own writers’ credit

We’ll be watching in IMAX, RealD 3D, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, Cinemark XD, and premium screens. How about you? Deadpool & Wolverine slashes its way into U.S. & Canadian movie theaters on July 26.

Witness the record-breaking trailer and prepare for the cinematic experience as Deadpool and Wolverine join forces.
