Meet You At The TARDIS! ‘Doctor Who’ is Zooming Back to Our Screens on May 10

|

Disney Branded Television and BBC have hopped aboard the TARDIS to announce the return of our favorite time-traveling doc in the next Doctor Who installment. For the first time ever, the iconic series will launch on Disney+ and simultaneously worldwide. The action kicks off on Friday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m. EDT (excluding the UK, because timey-wimey stuff, right?).

The new season takes us back to “The Church on Ruby Road,” which we first stumbled upon last December, and hurls us into two fresh episodes. For the Brits, the tea’s served on Saturday, May 11, at the stroke of midnight on BBC iPlayer, with a second helping on BBC One later that day.

Disney+ has also dished up some tantalizing key art of the Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa,) and his newest companion, Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson). And look out for a brand-new trailer from Disney+ next Friday, March 22.

This season, our time lordin’ duo will gallivant across time and space in the trusty TARDIS. From cravat-wearing Regency England to futures that have seen a few too many Daleks, our heroes will be doing what they do best; championing the forces of good, making unlikely pals, and occasionally running for their lives.

Showrunner, executive producer, and writer Russell T Davies says: “At last, it’s my great delight to unleash a whole new season of Doctor and Ruby shenanigans. Monsters! Chases! Villains! Mysteries! And a terrifying secret that’s been hiding in the shadows of time and space for eons. Don’t blink, or you might just miss it!”

As for guest stars, it’s a Who’s Who of ‘Who’ with Aneurin Barnard, Anita Dobson, Yasmin Finney, Michelle Greenidge, Jonathan Groff, Bonnie Langford, Genesis Lynea, Jemma Redgrave, Lenny Rush, Indira Varma, and Angela Wynter all set to make an appearance.

So, get your jelly babies ready and prepare to “Allons-y!” because the Doctor and Ruby are ready steady…go!
