We’ve lost count of the number of just how many impossible missions Tom Cruise has pulled off (for the record, this will be the eighth one) but we are seated regardless. Paramount has just dropped the teaser trailer for the next chapter, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, which will be directed by longtime franchise favorite, Christopher McQuarrie. Joining Cruise on his epic adventures are Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Angela Bassett, and more excellent additions.
The trailer takes the legendary Ethan Hunt across continents—usually via some death-defying stunts—and once again the fate of the world is in his hands. Cruise even wears the same outfit as he did when performing the epic stunt at the Paris Olympic Games closing ceremony earlier this year. Need we say more?
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning hits theaters on May 23, 2025.
