What happens when a legendary assassin gets “reincarnated” as a convenience store Batman by the power of love. Shenanigans—shenan again and again. Yes, the majorly anticipated anime adaptation of the Weekly Shonen Jump manga, SAKAMOTO DAYS, has arrived. Okay, it’ll arrive in a couple of days on Netflix. What arrived today is the all-new final trailer along with your introduction to the English voice cast.
Created by the mangaka Yuto Suzuki, SAKAMOTO DAYS has been a sensation in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump since 2020. The new anime is brought to life by TMS Entertainment, the studio behind LUPIN THE 3rd, Dr. STONE, and BAKI. The series is directed by Masaki Watanabe, with series composition by Taku Kishimoto and character design by Yo Moriyama.
Adding to the excitement, the Japanese cast features Tomokazu Sugita as Taro Sakamoto, Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shin Asakura, Ayane Sakura as Lu Shaotang, Nao Toyama as Aoi Sakamoto, Hina Kino as Hana Sakamoto, and Ryota Suzuki as Heisuke Mashimo.

The English voice cast is equally fire, with Matthew Mercer as Taro Sakamoto, Dallas Liu as Shin Asakura, Rosalie Chiang as Lu Shaotang, Rosie Okumura as Aoi Sakamoto, Xolo Maridueña as Heisuke Mashimo, Aleks Le as Nagumo, WWE superstar Lexi Cabrera (professionally known as Alexa Bliss) as Obiguro, SungWon Cho as Boiled, Du-Shaunt “Fik-Shun” Stegall as Son Hee, and Toru Uchikado as Bacho.
The series follows the non-stop action x slice-of-life of the legendary ex-hitman Taro Sakamoto, who teams up with comrades to face off against a looming threat of assassins to ensure a peaceful life with his beloved family. Expect more of the high-octane, over-the-top battles that have captivated manga audiences.
