We love this! Max announced today that The Last of Us season 2 will be available to stream in American Sign Language (ASL) alongside the premiere of each week’s new episodes. Season 1 will also be made available to stream in ASL from March 31—just in time to catch up ahead of S2’s premiere date of April 13 at 9pm ET.
This marks the first time HBO has made its original programming available to stream in ASL on Max, which follows the additions of ASL versions of Warner Bros. films including Barbie and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. The Last of Us ASL is performed by Daniel Durant and Leila Hanaumi, who provided the ASL performance for Barbie. Hanaumi also directed the first season of The Last of Us with ASL.
