Six friends gather together for a relaxing weekend away, only to learn that one of the couples in the group is going to split up—who, and why, and how could they?? The couples are made up of Kate (Tina Fey) and Jack (Will Forte), Nick (Steve Carell) and Anne (Kerri Kenney-Silver), and Danny (Colman Domingo) and Claude (Marco Calvani), so you know the comedic dynamics are about to be on full display here.
“I hope audiences feel like they are inside a big sweater with us, and also having a dinner party with us, and I hope that any of the joy and warmth that we all feel for each other all transfers to them, and that we are a comfort and provide some laughs for them in their home,” Fey tells Tudum.
Based on the 1981 film of the same name, The Four Seasons takes the friends on four vacations over the course a year so we can see the effects of the break-up shake-up. Co-created by Fey, Lang Fisher, and Tracey Wigfield—AKA three of the team behind the iconic 30 Rock—the comedy series premieres on Netflix on May 1.
