A Spicy Hot Mess of Adventure, Danger, and Intrigue
Let me start by saying that I watched when the series started but fell off as I felt it seemed to lose direction. So, with some concern, I started season 3 with some serious side-eye action. Within 10 minutes of this first opener, I was reminded of why I loved the series in the first place.
For those who may also have fallen off the series, the opening of the third season is here for you, giving you a recap of all the shenanigans that came before it. So, the first high mark of this episode is that because it begins a new chapter for our favorite, Fire Station No.8, we are treated to an excellent recap that not only educates but sets the tone for the upcoming season.
That said, to avoid spoilers, Station No.8 is on the run. Why? I can’t say, literally, because again, spoilers. Past enemies have acquired more unchecked power within the government, and the lines of right and wrong are blurred for everyone. Everyone except the crew of Station No.8 and the team has to deal with this dramatic change in the status quo in the only way they know how.
