Yes, thanks to 7 movies and 4 spin-off movies, the larger X-Men brand is stronger than ever—like 6 billion dollars stronger. Once again, like the 90s, Mutantmania has returned to the small screen. Part of that mania is built on the back of a little Saturday morning cartoon called X-Men: The Animated Series. Debuting on October 31, 1992, It was Marvel Comics’ second attempt at an animated X-Men television series after the pilot X-Men: Pryde of the X-Men was not picked up. As an aside we, don’t talk about X-Men: PoX…EVER. The period that brought about the cartoon might arguably be the most powerful version of the X-team in comics of the ’90s—if nothing else the most profitable for Marvel.
Fast forward 30 years from when the original series went off the air, a new trailer for Disney Plus’ revamp of the beloved series. dibbed X-Men ‘97 show from executive producer Beau DeMayo will take you right back to the good old mutant-hating days of yore.
In the new trailer, it follows events at the end of the original series. Xavier is Dead. The House of X is broken but even with the tragedy the X-Men are still needed to save the world, don’t worry humanity still hates their kind and is dead set on wiping the X-gene off the face of the Earth.
