‘Sing Sing’ Conversation, ‘Rustin’ Interviews with Colman Domingo & George C. Wolfe

Hear from the cast & crew of Sing Sing for a special post-screening conversation in DC, before revisiting our interviews with Colman Domingo and George C. Wolfe about Rustin.

Sing Sing Conversation with the Cast & Crew
Ahead of its highly anticipated release, Sherin and arts & creative consultant Taunja Pegues attended a special screening of the new A24 film Sing Sing at the National Museum for African American History and Culture (NMAAHC). The post-screening conversation included: Writer/Director Greg Kwedar, Co-Writer Clint Bentley, Producer Monique Walton, Stars & Executive Producers Colman Domingo, Clarence ‘Divine Eye’ Maclin, and John ‘Divine G’ Whitfield, and Stars Sean ‘Dino’ Johnson and Jon Adrian ‘JJ’ Velazquez.

Listen in as they talk about the uniting connection of humanity, the importance of the Rehabilitation Through the Arts program (RTA), and how much further we have to go to promote healing and community. Sing Sing is in theaters on Friday; this incredible conversation will underscore why it is a must-watch (for the full RIOTUS experience, read Sherin’s review).

Rustin feat. Colman Domingo & George C. Wolfe
To close out the show, we revisit Sherin and Julian’s interviews with Colman Domingo and George C. Wolfe about Rustin. They chat about bringing their own context and experiences to the film, the joys of working together, and letting the story breathe like jazz.
