Season Appetizer: ‘FOUND’ Season 2 – Accountability Kills

Season two of NBC’s FOUND is set to premiere tonight with Sir (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) on the loose, promising to deliver a thrilling arc to keep viewers shook. The series picks up with Gabi Mosely, played with verve and a willingness to bruise knuckles by Shanola Hampton, as she navigates the fallout from the secrets and the prisoners she’s kept. With her continued relationship with Sir exposed, Gabi must confront the chaos unleashed when he goes after Lacey (Gabrielle Walsh) and grapple with the accountability that comes when she has to face her FOUND family and her detective bae.

This sophomore season expands the backstory and the PTSD each character lives with daily. The irony is those same traumas brought them together, and that reversal of their relationships magnifies the tension to chaotic levels. Season 2 also deepens the dynamics between Gabi and Sir and Lacey, while broadening the mission of Mosely & Associates to find those forgotten by society.

The stakes are higher because we know Gabi, Lacey, Margaret (Kelli Williams), Dhan (Karan Oberoi), Zeke (Arlen Escarpeta), and even Sir better, with each episode crafted to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. The burgeoning love between Trent (Brett Dalton) and Gabi is also thrown onto the battlefield. FOUND‘s sophomore season deftly balances procedural elements with complex character development; and blends each case with the personal stories of Mosely & Associates to keep the plot popping.
