On the third anniversary of the show’s launch, Netflix has announced that Heartstopper will say goodbye in the form of a feature-length film. While we’re sad to see Nick and Charlie’s crew go, the prospect of their story being told in a big way is exciting.
The film will be based on Alice Oseman’s to-be-released sixth volume of her beloved graphic novels, and will see Wash Westmoreland (Still Alice, Colette) direct. Heartstopper leads Kit Connor and Joe Locke will serve as executive producers, and production will begin in summer 2025. Time to re-watch all three seasons in preparation and remind yourself of what we have to look forward to, one last time:
