Adrienne kicks off the show by recapping her time at the iconic Cowboy Carter Tour, comparing it to previous tours and albums, before highlighting how Beyoncé includes her daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi, in her performance. Tiesha also shares her excitement over seeing the tour this week with her daughter, and the Rioters discuss how Beyoncé brings generations together.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning + Shadow Force
Can you believe Tom Cruise has pulled off his eighth impossible mission? Julian and Sherin tell Adrienne and Tiesha all about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning (read Julian’s review for his full take). Julian and Adrienne are all in but Sherin had jokes, “With an exhilarating first half and a second half that’s unbelievable, Ethan Hunt is officially the superhero who had me singing “the greatest man alive” but with a smile.” They tease the character and story payoffs, the most epic physics-defying scenes, and why the M:I franchise remains so damn entertaining after all these years. Sherin also compares it to the disappointment of seeing Shadow Force, saying, “Shadow Force is the right parts put together in the wrong ways. It’s like buying your dream car and finding out it won’t take you anywhere.”
