I’m keeping it short this week, but here’s my preview of “You’re Not That Person Anymore” Episode 6 in Will Trent Season 4. This episode is dedicated to Faith and Angie because they’re the ones most affected by it. If you saw the end of last week’s episode, “Nice to Meet You, Malcolm,” then you know Faith got the worst kind of shock when she found out her perfect man is a bank robber. Damn. Come on, Malcolm (DeVaughn Nixon). Can the writers let this woman love? We were rooting for you; we were all rooting for you. Angie—on the other side of the love equation—is snuggling up to the idea of a toxic-free, lifetime kind of love with Seth. Let’s take a moment to hope this man will be protected at all costs. Why? Because you’ve met this show.
Things get rough and scary in this episode. Franklin scares us. Amanda scares us. Faith scares us. But, ultimately, “You’re Not That Person Anymore” is bittersweet in the best ways. You’ll laugh because this is Will Trent, and you’ll wish things could have gone differently because this is Will Trent. That’s how this show works, and if we’re being honest, we wouldn’t have it any other way.
