airing on Fri Feb 17 on Prime Video
Carnival Row returns to The Burgue, where things are more divided than ever. Philo (Orlando Bloom) is now living in the ghetto Jonah created with the fae, where they face further suppression from humans. Philo and Vignette (Cara Delevingne) find themselves torn between worlds—and things are about to get even messier as Tourmaline (Karla Crome) finds herself in possession of some frightening powers that could destroy everything.
Between murders every few minutes and nefarious political plots, the show is once again armed to the teeth with plotlines and powderkegs. It continues to play close to issues we’ve seen throughout history and sadly, continue to see today—discrimination, war, brutal explosions of tension—in bloody and revolutionary ways.
Change is coming to the Burgue, whether its inhabitants like it or not. While you’ll wish it had more time to explore all its packed-in themes, this last season carries on the show’s fantastical steampunk world with plenty of intrigue and magic (and oh so much blood).
