Aang: The Last Airbender Theatrical Release Pushed Back, Voice Cast Revealed!

Paramount Pictures is set to expand the animated movie world with its upcoming release, Aang: The Last Airbender. This theatrical release will launch a trilogy focusing on different Avatars, bringing the iconic universe of Avatar: The Last Airbender back to the cinematic universe.

Fans have been awaiting the release of Aang: The Last Airbender since its initial planned release announcement for October 10, 2025. However, recent updates reveal that the movie has been postponed to January 30, 2026. Fans will have to wait a little longer to see their favorite characters in action, but when you see the voice-acting cast you’ll be good with the wait.

The voice cast includes Eric Nam as Aang, Jessica Matten as Katara, Román Zaragoza as Sokka, Dionne Quan as Toph, and Dave Bautista as the main villain. For fans of the franchise, Dante Basco returns as Zuko. This impressive lineup means the film will be truer to the diverse and vibrant world of the original Avatar series.

The original creators of the Avatar series, Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, are serving as executive producers, and the movie is directed by Lauren Montgomery, who has previously worked on the original Avatar: The Last Airbender series. That’s good news as the three ensure the spirit of the show and authenticity of the Avatar universe will finally arrive on the big screen.

With a talented voice cast and a creative team deeply connected to the original show, this film is poised to be a worthy addition to the Avatar franchise.
