Just one month to go until all your Tolkien-obsessed friends won’t shut up again (including this author). Prime Video just dropped the season 2 trailer for The Rings of Power at San Diego Comic-Con and it is three and a half minutes of non-stop gasp-worthy moments. Of course, there’s a big focus on the rings themselves and the destruction that they will bring. And Sauron the Deceiver is in the middle of it all, looking oh so majestically evil (and we love it!).
But for us, it’s the sheer amount of Middle-earth appearances—Ents! Shelob! Barrow-wights! Eagles! Tom Bombadil!—we’re still yelling even as we type and rewatch it over and over and over and…we’ll probably still be yelling by the time The Rings of Power returns on August 29. At which point we’ll yell some more—come join us, won’t you?
