Dearest gentle listeners, Ladies Whimsnicole and Abdulbakiton wish to welcome you back to another Bridgerton discussion, this time serving up all the tea on Season 4, Part 2.

This author feels duty-bound to warn you that there will be spoilers of Bridgerton Season 4, Part 2 throughout. Continue at your own pace.

Benophie – “Yes or No”? (…istg)

Our esteemed hosts go episode by episode, starting with episode 5, titled “Yes or No”. They first examine why Benedict needed some life lessons this season to truly understand Sophie—and how Sophie really comes into her own. Is the heat truly there for S4’s leading love? What do the ladies make of this season’s story?

They also discuss the arrival of the new Lady Penwood and pay a brief visit to Violet and her garden. Indeed, our gentle ladies can agree that this season finally gets back into character development, not just for Benophie, but for the other Bridgertons as well. In particular, Penelope’s yearning to move beyond Lady Whistledown (more on that later).

Transitions & Tragedy in “The Passing Winter”

In the second segment, Ladies Whimsnicole and Abdulbakiton turn their attention to “The Passing Winter”, the rather transitional sixth episode. Their conversation about Eloise’s development develops into whomst they think the new Whistledown could be and where they think the series will go, with some comparisons to Julia Quinn’s Bridgerton book series (as well as to K-drama and Bollywood). They also delight in Francesca and Michaela’s budding friendship, and how lovely it was to see Francesca and John’s relationship bloom before tragedy struck.

True Love Can Be Found in “The Beyond” & “Dance in the Country”

With episode 7’s “The Beyond” heartbreak, the ladies take a moment to pay tribute to how each character reacted differently to John’s passing. They also discuss the dear friendship between Lady Danbury and Queen Charlotte, which takes them into the final episode, “Dance in the Country”.

Listen in to hear our gentle hosts’ reactions to Benophie’s happily ever after. They also get into that long-awaited bathtub scene, before switching gears to show their love for the Mondriches. As for the final moments, Ladies Whimsnicole and Abdulbakiton break down the ruse that left the Queen cackling, Violet’s decision to explore her freedom, and Posey getting her man. In doing so, our Riotous ladies draw some friendship parallels, and, of course, delight in the lovely post-credits wedding!
