It’s almost that time for the slime to hit the big screen again! Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea is coming to theaters in the US and Canada on May 1—with a global rollout starting next week—and the trailer is epic to the max.
Set as a standalone side-story following the events of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Season 3, Tears of the Azure Sea will follow Rimuru and his companions as they visit the Celestial Emperor Elmesia at her private resort island. But their vacation doesn’t last long when a mysterious woman named Yura appears, and they get swept up into a new whirlwind adventure.
Tears of the Azure Sea is the second feature-length film installment in the franchise, following 2023’s Scarlet Bond. All seasons of the anime series, including the newly released Season 4, are available to stream right now on Crunchyroll to tide you over until next month’s grand theatrical debut.
