GGR Hallmark Journal – Santa Tell Me

Welcome to the most wonderful time of the year! Hallmark Holiday Movie Time!!!!

As some of you may know, every year Day and Renee do a Hallmark Watch where we try to see as many films as we can. And this year we are going to give quick little reviews for some of those movies. And we will review some cookies along the way too, because what is better than tea and cookies and a Christmas movie? So Welcome to the GGR Hallmark Journal.

Santa Tell Me follows Olivia (Erin Krakow), a home design show host, whose childhood wish of finding true love is finally coming true with the help of a magical letter from Santa.  Problem is, three men fit the bill…and the fourth man in her life is just causing her no end of problems on her set as she is forced into renovating her childhood home.

Hi, it’s me Renee — I’m on my own this time.  I wanted to watch this one so badly that I did it while Day was sleeping in one morning and the baby was playing with her blocks.

I always like a little bit of magic in my stories, and this one had just enough without it being the point of the story.  The premise made it easy to watch Olivia (Erin Krakow) date Nick A. (Benjamin Ayres), Nick B. (Christopher Russell), and Nick C. (Kurt Szarka) without really getting into the logistics of her dating 3 men during a busy holiday season all while filming a Christmas Special with demanding producer Chris (Daniel Lissing)

It was witty and sweet, and the writer did an excellent job of giving us little problems with each Nick, so we didn’t get overly attached to any one, that way we could ride along with Olivia as she developed feelings for each of them.

Absolutely a must watch…super fun and worth your time!

Today’s cookie was a Gerber teething biscuit, strawberry banana flavor (the baby’s favorite) and I was less eating it and more holding it while she walked back and forth from me and the blocks.

Today’s tea, however is a special favorite of mine: Novel Tea’s War and Peach…so many peach teas seem fake, but this one is downright fuzzy.  I love it, it is such a special tea and I find myself drinking it when I want to enjoy contentment. And content I was!  Also, the specialty tea tins from them are super cool and look delightful when you put them on a shelf!
