Jackie (Nikki Rodriguez) has spent the summer in New York trying to forget about the mess she left behind. But running from her problems only makes things worse. Especially when she returns to Colorado and comes face-to-face with the fallout. Alex (Ashby Gentry) is carrying a lot of hurt over Jackie and keeps her at bay…but for how long? As for Cole (Noah LaLonde), well, Jackie tries her best to put space between them. Of course, sharing a house with both of them leaves room for mishaps and emotionally-charged drama. Would you expect anything less?
My Life with the Walter Boys is back for more teenage turmoil, with love triangles spinning out all over the place to ensure no heart is safe. Nathan (Corey Fogelmanis) and Skylar (Jaylan Evans) navigate new relationship trials, while Kiley (Mya Lowe) and Grace (Ellie O’Brien) deal with tough family situations. Cole tries to figure out life without football, and Alex takes some risks on the rodeo. And Jackie looks to get her driver’s license, while getting more involved at Silver Falls High School. Not to mention, plans for the ranch are set to shake up the Walter family dynamic in a big way.

While this season takes more time to add some depth to the characters, My Life with the Walter Boys still suffers from basic writing and unbelievable storyline twists. It flip-flops between nonsensical choices, although it’s more enjoyable when you don’t think too hard about it. The episodes are an easy watch while still hitting some of the core emotional beats.
If you’re already invested in the main love triangle, you’ll have more chances to cheer on Team Cole or Team Alex. That might be enough to keep you binge-watching, although the surrounding storylines are equal parts hit and miss. With that said, as these kids grow, there are some nice moments when they show how far they’ve come since Season 1—but there’s still room for more.
